A Warm Welcome to Deputy Mayor Yamada Motoyasu

We were delighted to welcome Deputy Mayor of Himeji, Yamada Motoyasu, and his delegation to Hayakawa UK during their three-day visit to Wales in November.

As part of his trip, the Deputy Mayor kindly called in for a short and friendly social visit, which we greatly appreciated. With our Head Office based in Himeji, these moments of connection are especially meaningful to us.

His arrival in Conwy was marked in style with a guard of honour from the Knights Templar at the Guild Hall, setting the tone for a memorable visit.

Conwy and Himeji have been proudly twinned since 2019, and with both cities home to iconic castles – Conwy Castle and Himeji Castle – the links between our communities remain strong and enduring.

Whenever officials from Himeji visit Wales, they often make time to stop by Hayakawa, and likewise, when people travel from Wales to Himeji, they usually visit our Head Office. It’s a tradition that reflects the close relationship between our cities and our company.
